How Many Profiles Can I Have At Either A Paid For Or Free Dating Service?
We're not aware of any free dating service that prevents you from having more than one profile at the moment. Some might try to but there seems little point to us. If people want to experiment then why not let them.
Posting more than one profile can have certain advantages. You could try one with and one without a photo and one with and one without a personal description. In theory you gain extra exposure on the website and should increase your chances of being noticed. There is a potential downside though - you could be contacted several times by the same person responding to each profile! You might also lose track of which profile you are and how far an e-mail conversation has gone with each profile. With a free dating service it doesn't cost anything to register several times but it could end up being very confusing! However many free dating services actually demand a subscription fee before you can get in touch with anyone so you would lose out on all those matches from the other profiles anyway - unless money is no object and you can afford to pay the subscription fee several times over. On balance, we think it's probably best to keep things simple and stick to just having one profile.
It's seem fairly unlikely that a subscription based dating service, as opposed to a free free dating service, would have a problem with you having more than one profile at a time. Even if they did you could always register with a second dating service to cast you net wider.
We've talked elsewhere about the pros and cons of registering with a free dating service but still have to recommend that you go with a paid for service for a much superior and usually better run service. Stick to having one profile and learn how to edit it and change your requirements until you find the sort of matches that you want to get in touch with.
