Meeting Up For Real

Many people are a bit shy about asking someone out on a date. However, if you've been sending messages through your dating service or talking on the phone for a while then you might be lucky enough to find that your potential date drops some hints that they might like to meet up in person. If that's what they're saying then believe them! Why wouldn't they want to meet up?

Some people go from sending messages through their dating service straight on to a face-to-face meeting. If you're both OK with that then why not! However, most people seem to move from the dating service to talking on the phone and then finally through to the date itself.

Obviously meeting up in person is the most important part of all. Without saying anything you can have spoken a thousand words! Above all it may answer that question which no dating service can - is there likely to be any chemistry between you?

Remember that this isn't a blind date. If you've been talking or messaging for a while you'll already know a lot about each other. On the other hand you can't assume that you're going to live happily ever after just because you met up for one date and got on well. It appears that some men are more likely to reach that conclusion than women. Women are usually far more cautious. The important thing not to lose sight of is that you both joined a dating service to meet each other - but that doesn't mean that the courting period should be any shorter than if you'd met up in some other way. There's a lot more water to pass under the bridge before you can be thinking about making it more permanent.
