You will only be known by your username on the site so you don't need to give out any other personal contact details for someone to get in touch with you. All communication can take place through the website until you're happy to give a few more details away. This allows you to be in control of the pace of the relationship. It's very unlikely that you will receive a message from someone that you find offensive but if this does happen, and you don't want to receive any more messages from that user, then you can easily block them. You might want to add some profiles to a 'My Favorites' area - possibly those that you've sent messages to. You can do this by clicking on 'Add to Favorites' at the bottom of the full profile.
