It might be best not to use your work email address. Most people take a vacation or days off every now and again and you probably don't want your boss being able to see the love notes you have been sending and receiving. So why not set yourself up with a free web-based email account such as hotmail or yahoo, where you have to log in from your browser to send and receive your email. That way, even if nobody ever gets into your machine when you're away on vacation, somebody in your IT department can't go through and read your private email.
Having made sure you have privacy for your computer dating at work means that you are now ready to start sending and receiving your messages. Rather than dash off a quick message and send it straight away, take a moment to always read what you are about to send once more before actually sending it. Remember, this is the first impression that you are going to make on someone - so you want it to be good. It's too easy to send something in a hurry and then read it again later to find lots of spelling mistakes and a few sentences that could be taken the wrong way. Remember - send in haste - repent at your leisure! A moment or two longer proof reading your outgoing messages could make all the difference between receiving a response and not.
Even if your employer isn't keen on you using their internet connection for personal use, or if you don't feel you have enough privacy at work, doesn't mean that you can't use dating web sites. Perhaps you have a friend that wouldn't mind letting you borrow their computer. The other alternative is to visit an internet cafe and set up your free web based email account, as we suggested above, and then find your chosen dating site and get started. Most internet cafes have fast connections and are relatively inexpensive to use and you will be able to do everything in exactly the same way as if the computer was sitting on your desk at work or at home.
